Lincoln Paper & Tissue, until recently Lincoln's largest employer with 400 workers, reduced its production to tissue only following a recovery boiler explosion. As of November 20, 2015, the mill is now in Chapter 11 bankruptcy, and its assets have been auctioned with a high bid of 5.95 million dollars. It is uncertain whether the potential buyer will scrap the assets or resell the mill.

July 18, 2012 - Connie and I are extremely pleased to announce that sometime this afternoon we had our 7 millionth visitor to the Lincoln, Maine, area website. This is another of several milestones we've passed since the website went online 6 years ago. The companion Facebook page is the most popular of its type north of Bangor with 3,560+ "likes", and the Smartphone and iPad apps are being downloaded all over the country and the world!

Lincoln approved as "business friendly town"
MAY 31 - Lincoln's Business Friendly Community Status with the State of Maine has been approved! This was a great joint effort between the Lincoln are Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Lincoln.
